Our Story
It Started With a Love for Design
Long before Sketchy Kid Designs, Tim Navratil's passion for creativity began at The New York State College of Ceramics, School of Art and Design, at Alfred University in Alfred, NY, where he studied graphic design and showcased his work in student art exhibitions.
Those early experiences shaped the foundation of his career: thoughtful design, attention to detail, and the belief that great visuals have the power to make an impact.
A Foundation Built on Experience
After graduating from Alfred University, Tim began his professional career in 2006 with George Fern, Inc. (now Fern Expo, an Nth Degree Company), one of the leading companies in the exhibit and event industry.
During his 14 years there, Tim developed his expertise in trade show and event graphics, gaining firsthand experience in the creativity, precision, and attention to detail required to bring large-scale projects to life.
In 2020, Tim and Sherry Navratil turned a new opportunity into the next chapter of their journey together by creating Sketchy Kid Designs. Combining Tim’s graphic design expertise with Sherry’s background in business, marketing, and client relationships, they built a company centered around creativity, quality, and genuine partnerships.
